Scoped Rifle - 01
SR01:Scoped Rifle - 01
Scoped Rifle Class

This class is geared toward the Scoped Rifle. it is designed to help the shooter understand the marriage between the scope and the rifle. The class will provide the shooter with techniques and tips on better down range accuracy, along with testing the limitations of the shooter and his rifle. Maine has a long history of hunting, from medium to large game. This class offers skills acquired from the Military and Law Enforcement long range marksmen program to help the outdoorsperson take that long range shot accurately, and with confidence.

After a classroom presentation from two Military and Law Enforcement Snipers, the students will participate in some practical sling work, and then proceed to the 100 yard range where they will accurately sight-in their rifles. The students will shoot from different positions, simulating field work.  The student will also experience shooting from a tree stand (at ground level), in order to learn accuracy techniques.
